Our Top Wedding Dress Styles for 2020

With designers launching their spring 2020 wedding collections this month, we have fallen head over heels for the latest wedding trends. With an abundance of ruffles, puff sleeves, sequins and florals, we already can’t wait to see next year’s brides here at Dewsall.
For me personally, Temperley Bridal has been a long-term love and her latest collection does not disappoint.
Ruffles, Ruffles, Ruffles
The ultra-feminine, stylish and dramatic ruffles create a real statement and are super flattering. If you are looking for a softer, more romantic way to wear ruffles, they also work just worn around the neck or shoulders. Ruffles have been also been a feature in designs by Vera Wang and Justin Alexander.

Sleeves and Shoulders
Wedding dresses with sleeves can create a bohemian feel to your wedding whatever the season. Whether a full sleeve, wide sleeve or off-the-shoulder sleeve with billowing fabric – we have a whole lot of love for this modern take on bridal sleeves.

The Colour of Love
White and ivory wedding dresses will always have a place in our hearts, but we are also loving this shift away from the traditional options and the introduction of blush, champagne and gold. Some designers are even going a step further with dresses available in shades of a pastel rainbow and we are just crossing our fingers that one of our brides brings some of that colourful magic to Dewsall next year!

Embroidery and Embellishment
Elegant embroidery with a touch of glamorous embellishment creates a timeless combination and has always been popular on the catwalk. However, for those looking to step it up a notch, please welcome multicoloured embroidery – the trend that sees bright florals applied to white, ivory and blush fabrics. Wow! Temperley and Needle and Thread are both well-known for this style.

Shine on
We love the idea of shimmering your way down the aisle and wearing an all-over metallic sequin gown really add the wow-factor. Keeping accessories to a minimum, this style of dress goes hand in hand with a plush bouquet of soft peonies or delicate roses. This style would be stunning for a winter wedding!

Sensational, yet sustainable
Have you found your dream dress, but it doesn’t match your dream price? Look no further, as Still White offers over 46,000 pre-loved wedding dresses at affordable prices to fit in with all kinds of budgets. A pre-loved wedding dress is an excellent way of incorporating sustainability into your day, as fashion is the second most polluting industry in the world.
Once your wedding is over, you can continue to support the environment and a wonderful charity called Brides Do Good where you can sell or donate your wedding dress to a charity that helps child brides. Your dress can really be the gift that just keeps on giving!
